About Me
Hi! I'm Ellen, the sole proprietor behind Simply Sown Flower Farm. I live with my husband and our dog and cat in Abbotsford, about 15 minutes away from the farm where majority of the flowers are grown.
I decided to pursue flower farming after completing a fish and wildlife technical diploma and realizing my passion was in agriculture.
I also work part time as a veterinary assistant.
About the Farm
80% of the flowers we grown are grown in Greendale, a subcommunity of Chilliwack, BC. the other 20% are grown in my high tunnel and backyard in Abbotsford, BC.

The family farm where the majority of the flowers is grown, is a small sheep and hobby farm. They raise Icelandic Sheep for meat and fleece. The farm also has layer chickens and horses. and of course a bunch of barn cats and dogs.

At Simply Sown we are chemical free and use no till methods and landscape fabric to suppress weeds and create healthy soil for flowers to thrive. All compost and manure used is straight from the farm (thank you sheep, horses and chickens!)
